To Providence, RI

Our Providence departure point has changed
the new address is 200 Allens Avenue,
Conley's Wharf @ Providence Piers.
approx. one half mile South of the old location.
Parking is free and right next to the ferry itself.

From South or West/New York & Connecticut:

  1. Take I-95 North toward Providence.
  2. Take Exit 18 Thurbers Avenue.
  3. Bear RIGHT onto Thurbers Ave (East).
  4. At T intersection turn LEFT onto Allens Ave/1A.
  5. Ferry is located on RIGHT at 200 Allens Ave, Providence Pier/Conley’s Wharf.
From East/Cape Cod:
  1. Take I-195 West towards Providence.
  2. Merge LEFT onto I-95 South.
  3. Take Exit 18 Thurbers Avenue.
  4. Bear RIGHT onto Thurbers Ave (East).
  5. At T intersection turn LEFT onto Allens Ave/1A.
  6. Ferry is located on RIGHT at 200 Allens Ave, Providence Pier/Conley’s Wharf.
From North/Boston:
  1. Take I-95 South through Providence.
  2. Take exit 18 Thurbers Ave.
  3. Bear LEFT off exit onto Thurbers Ave.
  4. At T intersection turn LEFT onto Allens Ave/1A.
  5. Ferry is located on RIGHT at 200 Allens Ave, Providence Pier/Conley’s Wharf.
If you are using our old directions:
  1. After crossing over Point Street Bridge, take LEFT onto Eddy St.
  2. At Stop Sign bear LEFT onto Allens Ave.
  3. Ferry is approx. ¼ mi on LEFT at 200 Allens Ave, Providence Pier/Conley’s Wharf.

To Newport, RI

To the Newport to Providence Ferry via the Jamestown Ferry:

  1. Traveling 138 East bear right 1/8 mile before the Newport (Pell) Bridge toll booth plaza onto the "Jamestown Exit".
  2. Continue approximately one mile to Jamestown Village.
  3. Ferry dock is located at One Ferry Wharf at the Conanicut Marina.
  4. Day parking is available uptown on Narragansett Avenue between the Fire Station and Town Hall or for overnight parking call 401-423-7157 to make parking/shuttle arrangements.

From 495 N:

  1. Take I-495 S toward I-90/Cape Cod.
  2. Merge onto I-95 S via exit number 13B toward Providence, RI.
  3. Take the exit- exit number 9- on the left toward Newport/S. County.
  4. Merge onto RI-4 S.
  5. Turn slightly onto Tower Hill RD/US-1 S.
  6. Merge onto RI-138 E toward Jamestown/Newport/Bridges.
  7. Take the RI-238 S exit toward Scenic Newport.
  8. Turn Right onto RI 138A/RI-238/JT Connell Hwy. Continue to follow RI 138A/RI-238.
  9. Turn Right onto RI 138A/America's Cup Ave/RI-238. Continue to follow RI 138A/America's Cup Ave.
  10. Turn Right onto Long Wharf Mall.

From 95 S:
  1. Take I-95 N.
  2. Merge onto RI-102 S/Victory Hwy via exit number 5A toward North Kingston.
  3. Turn Left onto RI-102/Victory Hwy. Continue to follow RI-102.
  4. Take the ramp toward Narragansett.
  5. Merge onto RI-4 S.
  6. Turn slightly right onto Tower Hill Rd./US-1 S.
  7. Merge onto RI-138 E toward Jamestown/Newport/Bridges (Portions toll).
  8. Take the RI-238 S exit toward Scenic Newport.
  9. Turn Right onto RI 138A/RI-238/JT Connell Hwy. Continue to follow RI 138A/RI-238.
  10. Turn RIGHT onto RI 138A/America's Cup Ave./RI-238. Continue to follow RI 138A/America's Cup Ave.
  11. Turn Right onto Long Wharf Mall.

From Boston:
  1. Take I-93 S.
  2. Merge onto MA-3 S.
  3. MA-3 S becomes US-1 S.
  4. Merge onto MA-24 S via Exit 4- on the left- toward Brockton.
  5. MA-24 S becomes RI-114 S.
  6. Turn Right onto Codddington Hwy.
  7. Coddington Hwy becomes JT Connell Hwy.
  8. Enter next roundabout and take 3rd exit onto Admiral Kalbus Rd.
  9. Take the RI-138 W ramp.
  10. Stay straight to go onto JT CONNELL HWY.
  11. JT Connell Hwy becomes FarewellSt/RI 138A/RI-238.
  12. Turn Right onto RI 138A/America's Cup Ave./RI-238. Continue to follow RI 138A/America's Cup Ave.
  13. Turn Right onto Long Wharf Mall.

From Cape Cod:
  1. Take US-6 W/MA-28 N.
  2. Stay straight to go onto MA-25 W.
  3. Merge onto I-195 W via Exit 1 toward New Bedford/Providence.
  4. Merge onto MA-24 S via exit number 8A toward Tiverton, R.I./Newport, R.I..
  5. MA-24 S becomes RI-114 S.
  6. Turn Right onto Coddington Hwy.
  7. Coddington Hwy becomes JT Connell Hwy.
  8. Enter next roundabout and take 3rd exit onto Admiral Kalbfus Rd.
  9. Take the RI-138 W ramp.
  10. Stay straight to go onto JT Connell Hwy.
  11. JT Connell Hwy becomes Farewell St./RI 138A/RI-238.
  12. Turn right onto RI 138A/America's Cup Ave./RI-238. Continue to follow RI 138A/America's Cup Ave.
  13. Turn Right onto Long Wharf Mall.
